I'm not getting a pepper from this bud
« on: July 26, 2015, 04:17:03 pm »

Here's another macrophotograph, this time of a bud on one of my pepper plants that died and early death. It caught my eye before taking the photo and still has me looking at it, but I'm not sure why or if there's anything here worth spending time observing. Your thoughts are appreciated. Thanks for taking a look.

I like the image because 99.9% of macro plant photography deals with perfect speciments while your shows a bit of "real nature." I ust say, however, that the image seems a little soft - and I am not a pixel peeper or sharpness nazi.

Thanks Peter. I'm sure you're right about the softness. This was handheld and my DOF was restrained to the focal plane around the dried flower. My macro stuff is still a work in progress (and probably always will be). - Bob
