Blackeyed susans at dusk
« on: July 26, 2015, 09:16:59 am »

Summer is in full swing here in hot, humid Baltimore, and my gardens are filled with the state flower of Maryland (US), the Blackeyed Susan (Rudbeckia hirta). Here are four photos taken at dusk an evening ago. I am partial to the first, but would like your thoughts on them. As always, thank you for your time and interest in viewing my photos.

#1 for me, Bob: colour, composition, contrast.

Another vote for the first one....though it is hard to choose.

#1, for composition, and for inclusion of that small amount of purple in the background.

I like #1 also but I would try pulling the background down bit more. Enough that they are still there but not as  prominent.

Love these flowers.. so bold in their colors!!
