So at first I thought the purple was a really nice contrast and wondered what caused it. Now I am fairly certain it's an artifact. But does it add or taketh away?! And as a side note, if you've any methods of removing it, please do tell.

These blobs are all over the place !
Not really a problem here i'd say. Still puzzled about what would cause this, in appearance it looks a lot like UV sneaking in somewhere. Some sort of Flare may be less obvious as I suppose with a srew on filter you can still use the hood.
This one with the D810 or Fuji camera bye the way ?
Best Regards, Sander

I imagine it could be removed using Aperture by selecting the area and using the color tool to decrease the saturation of the questionable hue.
EDIT: I couldn't make this work in a downloaded jpg.

If you shot a RAW file, is it present in the RAW? And what happens if you play with the exposure?
at first glance, I thought it might be a sort of rainbow effect - as the light traveling through the water, gets split as if going through a prism?
