Can Mask in ACR?

I want to pull some reds/ BW, but not affect the face? Can I mask in ACR? I have no idea, or do I have to mask in PS proper? thanks

There are a number of ways to do this but you need to think of the brush strokes as the mask to initially apply the overall correction, then you can paint that away using the - (minus) brush.
As you can see here, I can make a gradient too, then paint out or alter that gradient selectively.

Never used brush or gradent before in ACR. I'm in CS5 btw.
Do you have a video on it?
Is it much better to pursue this in ACR vs. PS?

I don't have such a video but they exist (check out Adobe's site and video's by Julieann Kost).

ACR in CS5 isn't going to have as many options as the current version for this kind of editing.

I would consider LR also, as the brush has history steps which to me are invaluable at times.  No history in ACR that I know of.  Besides that the 2 programs should be the same with the adjustment brush.
