Has anyone experience of CISS with this printer ideally or CISS using Fotorite inks?

Of course this printer a little long in the tooth these days and I am thinking that an A2 printer may be due but would like to put off purchase for another 12 months - helping me to decide Canon or Epson and investigate the market a little.
I am fairly sure that the most consistent and possibly best results to be had sticking to the manufacturers ink but of course the ink cost savings are looking quite appealing. So your views appreciated
