No, but far more acceptable esthetically. It's quiet, you can use it in national parks and wilderness areas, it's not liable to injure anyone, it's less likely to be abused, and on one is likely to shoot it down because it's annoying as hell.

True on all counts.
But likely to get nicked while you are off cycling and it is tracking you.
