That's the best Fourth-of-July tale that I've heard!
Thanks for sharing it.

I'm beginning to think there may be at least three different Rajan Parrikars. One spends three quarters of each year in Iceland, a second spends the same amount of time photographing in India, and the third is at home in California for most of the year.   ;)

They are all prolific photographers.

This is a nice story. I suppose something similar could happen in any country, after all, the vast majority of people on Earth are nice and helpful.

I can relate to similar road side stories of locals trying to help, and helping, both in my home country (Portugal), and in Oman (where I lived for 7 years). In Oman, I have witnessed people coming out from apparently nowhere, in the mountains, to help with flat tires. Same thing in the desert, with stuck 4WDs. In my case, the icebreaker was always mentioning "Cristiano Ronaldo" and "Jose Mourinho" :)
