This is a nice story. I suppose something similar could happen in any country, after all, the vast majority of people on Earth are nice and helpful.
I can relate to similar road side stories of locals trying to help, and helping, both in my home country (Portugal), and in Oman (where I lived for 7 years). In Oman, I have witnessed people coming out from apparently nowhere, in the mountains, to help with flat tires. Same thing in the desert, with stuck 4WDs. In my case, the icebreaker was always mentioning "Cristiano Ronaldo" and "Jose Mourinho"
