Forum formatting changes?
« on: July 04, 2015, 02:33:21 pm »

Today I'm noticing smaller fonts, sub-forum names in regular text (instead of bold) and unnecessary whitespace (mainly blank lines) in the forum topic listings.  Also the "breadcrumb" at the top for the forum structure is located in the center of page rather than to the left.

Are changes being made to the forum formatting?  If so, I think the current change is a step backwards for readability.

thanks for posting, I thought my eyes had gone bad.

The new font is both lighter and finer and hard to read against pure white.  Also the topics no longer are bold.  Just to me makes this site very hard to read.

I have looked at both Mac, and windows, not my browser causing the issues.

Please at least make the font darker.

Bolding uses more ink, so... ;)

EDIT: When members are not bold, discussions tend to become boring :)

Please be patient while we work on a few things.  There have been some issues we have been dealing with today and certain settings are not back to the way they were....

Check this out, you won't believe your eyes. If you thought that the rolling updates at the top left are annoying...

Ouch! I had missed that one, because I have that author on my Ignore list (where he will continue to be).

If only he would ignore!

The issues should be resolved.  Please report them here is there is still an issue.

Andrew, you can't see it anymore because

The issues should be resolved...

Otherwise, if you look at at the attached screenshot, there are several bullet points there for each grouping, now all visible. In the misbehaving incarnation, only one bullet point was visible per grouping, while the rest were rotating, pretty much like the Updates in the upper left corner.

Ahhh! CSS gone mad, I expect. As a TeX user from way back I find all this web layout stuff ludicrous and juvenile. CSS is like a terrible joke told by a 3 year old.

All good here!  Thanks for working the Holiday weekend to fix it.

My apologies to Isaac, since I was blaming him for the bizarre effect.

I'm glad the forum formatting has been fixed, and I have removed my own inappropriate post.
