Would be interested to see a comparison against 11-24 + 5DSR for corner sharpness at widest.

I would love that Canon adapter and copal shutter solution for my ARCA Rm3Di. Looks very simple and effective. Love to use my Canon TS-E lenses on the IQ160 without having to spend an arm and a leg on a FPS solution. (Arca or Alpa). Even if there is some vignetting I don't mind.

What size of Copal shutter is this? I'd love this for an Alpa :-)

Looks like a Copal 3.

The Canon EF flange-focal distance is 44mm ... for Alpa, the distance from the front mounting plane to the sensor is 22.2mm ... so a difference of 21.8mm ... but a Copal 3 shutter is 26.4mm deep from front to back (the part that sits flush on the lens board) ... and then you need to add a lens board ... so it would have to be recessed ... but the levers on the Copal shutter would protrude too far ...

Guess this is why Alpa created the FPS.

But maybe the Fotoman Dmini used in the above setup is thinner as the Alpa? Will measure.

The Dmini looks really slim, maybe the adapter plate for the DB is as well. Also, is there a lens board or is the copal attached directly to the front of the camera - maybe it's recessed slightly as well ?

Kapture Group did a similar sort of thing with the TrueWide, but in Nikon F, Canon FD, Leica R, Olympus and Contax mounts.

capture group Truewide covered only 36x36mm sensor. Not 36x48 or 54x40.
But my design covered 37x49mm p45+ sensor with approx 7mm shift. I think it covered 54x40 full sensor.

Base body is fotoman Dmini. But I designed CAD custom cone for copal 3 and modify canon-nex adapter.

Of course it allows infinity focus. It was Very difficult work.
