Crazy Red Sky
« on: June 23, 2015, 02:21:48 pm »

Taken from a hotel room in Iowa, while seeking shelter from a tornado, severe storm and hail warning. The sky turned crazy red after sunset, while it was still raining. You can even see a tip of a lightning bolt in the upper right corner. Straight out of camera, no Photoshop.

Nothing pretentious, just a grab shot of nature's glory.

Cool.
Seeing events like this, the northern lights and other phenomena you start to understand why past civilizations placed religious meanings into natural events and artifacts.

Hey, I think you've got some dust spots on the sensor.  ;)

That is a really strange red sky, maybe to signal danger. I've been through several tornadoes (including one that leveled houses around me), but never one that produced such heavenly heavens.

That sky reminds me too much of the movie "Twister" :) I'll pass and stay with the oppressive heat of Utah!
