Respect, ANZAC Day, 2015
« on: June 22, 2015, 05:57:13 pm »

ANZAC Day commemorates a battle we (New Zealand, Australia and Allied Forces) lost at Gallipoli, Turkey, in WWI, 100 years ago. Red poppies are worn as a link to the battlefields where the flower grows freely.

This image shows some Māori (practically, our indigenous people) after an ANZAC memorial service at their local marae (Māori meeting house and centre).
