Custom White Balance Problem
« on: February 16, 2006, 11:48:42 pm »

How do I transfer the custom white balance settings that I adjusted in the field into Adobe Photoshop CS2 so that the images in CS2 match the images in the preview window on the camera?
No adjustments in the Adobe camera raw processing tools allow me to get the same photograph as I got in the field.
I am very comfortable with Adobe but this is a problem I cannot figure out.

Thanks...I need help!

If you did a custom white balance in the field, then this should be picked up by ACR automatically.

At the end of the day, the raw image *is* the photo.  I tend to completely ignore whitebalance in the field as I prefer to get this how I want it in a calibrated-monitor environment with Photoshop.

If I need to shoot JPEGs, then I start to worry about whitebalance in the camera!
