Searching for A4 Epson Enhanced Matte paper resellers in Canada

Some friends in Europe would like me to do some printing for them on A4 Enhanced Matte paper. Unfortunately, I live in western Canada where "letter size" paper dominates and A-sized papers are harder to find; my regular suppliers tell me that they can't get it, and my only option is to use packages of fifty A3 (11.7 inch x 16.5 inch) sheets, print two images per sheet, then cut them in half.

I know Epson makes A4 Enhanced Matte paper and I think the product number for these may be S041603 A4 8.3" x 11.7"/250 sheets - according to this spec sheet http://www.epson.ca/cmc_upload/0/000/019/141/Enhanced%20Matte.pdf
However, Epson Canada's Epson store emailed me, "Unfortunately, we regret to inform you that we don't sell the type of paper you are looking for."

If you can get it in A3, then that is the way to go. Although it would probably be easier to cut them in half first, and then print on the A4. Half A3 is A4, that is how it works.

Good look with finding A4 in north or central America, it probably isn't going to happen. My wife's PhD dissertation was supposed to be on A4. We search high and low, even contacting foreign embassies in the US, there was no A4 to be had anywhere.

Moab have some papers in international A sizes, but none of the printer manufacture branded papers are available in North America in A sizes.

A4 is an international size. It is not anything in inches, it is 297mm x 210mm. A3 is twice A4 which is 420 x 297 mm. As already pointed out, you can print 2 per page and cut them. The chances of finding international sizes in North America is about as likely as other countries being invited to the world series. Grin and move on. Best advise is to crop to the 1.41 aspect ratio, send them the file and get them to print it.

An option could be Moab Lasal Photo Matte - Moab shows that it is available in A4 sizes and it is distributed in Canada. It sounds similar to Epson Enhanced Matte - except that it will print on both sides and it seems to be more expensive than the Epson paper.

Unfortunately, it is nothing like Epson Enhanced Matte. It is a photo-matte, not a true matte.

I would have thought that Canson (being French) would be fairly common in Canada? I have never used Epson but use Ilford, some Hahnemule and Canson.
