NEW Search Feature Launched
« on: May 29, 2015, 10:24:52 am »

We have introduced a NEW search feature.  We will be refining it over the next few weeks so any feedback will be good.  To use it go to the search box and type something to search.  A list of suggestion will appear as you type.  If you find what you are looking for scroll down and click it.  You’ll now be taken to page you selected.  To go to a more advanced search click the magnify glass button. You will now be taken to a search results page.  You can refine the search further like put in Nikon and D800 and you’ll get those articles for Nikon D800.  If you go to the gear box on the search field line you can select Author and Category.  This will narrow it down even further.

We will be adding new authors and some other categories so keep checking back.  We are also going to try a highlight the text searched in the results.  So, this will mature over the coming weeks but now it should be easier to find old articles or view things in certain categories.

Check back as we refine this new feature further.

A search with the keywords "Alaska Aurora" returns this (correctly) -

https://luminous-landscape.com/hunting-the-great-alaskan-aurora/

But it appears with Michael's byline for some reason when it is actually authored by Ben Hattenbach.

When you find articles without the right authors email us and we fix it.  Lots of old articles were missing authors metadata and thus defaulted to Michael.  Many times the article may show the right author in the body of the text. In any case email us with link and we will get it fixed.
