Concrete
« on: May 26, 2015, 01:51:36 pm »

No timber in Iceland, many houses are made of concrete.
I wish I had also taken pictures of the lovely modern concrete houses. Next time.
Feedback welcome.

Good series, with various examples. I would like to see the last one in colour, just for the sake of keeping the set more homogeneous.

Scott - I think all three are good/have potential, I like the first one best because of the dynamism, and then the second...although not sure about crop...and I would work on processing a bit...color, light dark values. The last one  I think could possibly be worked into something better via processing...don't know though. I like the shape of house - maybe look at it centered in a square crop. Also, was color good in third?  /Brandt

Thanks, Paulo and Brandt. Here's 3 colour and square. I like the framing in the square, but miss the diagonal formed by the road.

I think the first version works better. But maybe in color.
The first shot of the white house would maybe be great in B&W.
