I had the opportunity to visit Alaska this Spring. Even though I didn't get to visit Denali, I spent a day on the Glenn Highway and boy, it was beautiful. I am still curating the shots from the trip, but here are three shots that I would love to hear your feedbacks.
Since this is my first trip to Alaska, there were a few things that caught me off guard. First, the weather was treacherous and could be stubbornly stable. I had a few shots where I could not get any texture on the sky. It was a little annoying. Secondly, having to shoot from the highway pull-outs make it a little difficult to get a different perspective on things. The shot at Mile 76 (DSC_1453) is classic. I wish I could get a different perspective on this very beautiful scene. But I figure out that the only way to do it is probably going rogue down the slope or renting an airplane to get its aerial view. I could not afford either at that time since I was traveling with family and did not have a lot in the bank account. Maybe, Alaska is a place that you have to go by yourself and make the trip only to shoot pictures. Thoughts?
