A few from Japan
« on: May 14, 2015, 07:54:57 pm »

Hello my friends,

Here are some images captured in the rural Toyama prefecture of Japan. A place of tradition and natural beauty.

Spring is a prime seasons for festival as the people rejoy the end of the long, cold and snowy winters.

The area is also renown for the abilities of their wood carvers as exemplified by the decorations of their temples and festival artefacts.

Each is masterful and nicely composed. #2 caught my eye, as did the 5th one (hands holding fan). Thank you for sharing.

Thanks a lot for the encouraging comments. Like many I tend to photograph better places that I like and I loved this chunk of Toyama.

Cheers,
Bernard
