Havana Textures
« on: May 03, 2015, 11:45:40 pm »

To add to the recent images from Cuba, here are some pictures from my recent trip to Havana.
My Balcony - My Castle, Down On The Corner, 1950's car fleet.

Last week, Havana experienced very heavy rains and 27 old buildings collapsed, killing a number of people inside.

Thank you Phil and Murphy.
You are right, a photography gem for now! Who knows how it will look in a few years.

Here are two more colorful shots, with all kinds of transportation modes.

Les, your first photo really charms me. It speaks 'habana' to me. Kudos.

while Old Havana is like walking around in an inhabited archaeological site, I figured a fair number of those buildings were unsafe to be anywhere near.
No amount of money could preserve them.  Unfortunately, they are still used as someone's home.
Nice photos, they remind me.
