A little bit of recent NZ
« on: May 03, 2015, 06:06:17 pm »

Up early at the weekend to shoot something thats on for 2 weekends a year, didnt work out, as usual, so try again in spring. Conditions changed fast with lots of cloud streaming past, condensation on everything wasnt the easiest shoot.

So waiting for the sun to appear time for a selfie. Standing in freezing gale winds for 30 seconds not so easy..!

Not shot my doorstep beach for ages, some has been fenced off limits due to earthquake damage, now open so can get to some fun spots, absurd 180 degree pano, rainbow (not easy to make out) , exposure all over the place. :D

Easter weekend in the catlins, early start from the tents in dodgy conditions, hour and a half drive to a location we havd been told about by a DOC ranger the day before, had to drive through a campsite and offroad to find it in the dark, huge cliffs and massive swell, what a spot. only had colour in the clouds for one set of images.

Using lightroom CC for stitching 24 files and then adding 2 grad filters to test the new erase brush.  Hideously slow on my moderately powerful PC. Will stitch in PT Gui from now on lol. Actually the stitching method in ACR if it works is rather nice.

Spectacular series, Rob.

NZ in on our list. The problem is, once we arrive we might never want to leave. The same thing happened in Tanzania, where we stayed for 4 years and England, 3 years!

Absolutely stunning images!  Beautiful panoramas!

NZ has long been on my list.  I'll have more time in five years, when I retire.  And I fear a similar danger as Terry.

I was expecting to see some trolls, orcs, and elves, maybe next time?

Wonderful series.

Spectacular. As always!! Day or night, your landscapes are wonderful.

Hmm. I will have to look into locum tenens positions in NZ.
NZ has been on my bucket list, but clearly one needs a LOT of time to wander around.
