Perhaps displaying my fondness for fencing again :-)

Teasel is a fairly common wild plant in britain, wikipedia says its considered invasive in the United States.

I like this in black and white - brings out the texture. Our American goldfinches love the thistle (teasel) seeds.

I think this would benefit from more selective contrast and focus isolation on the Teasels. As it stands now it's busy and my eye doesn't know where to go first except to the overwhelming bulk of the fence especially the high contrast of the lighter back rail ,not your intended subjects. Could also benefit from a square crop eliminating the right side,with the stalks eminating from the bottom right corner. I can post a modified version if OK.
