Actually, in UK, some "professional" photographers regard this as a very serious issue with some claiming that more than 80% of their income has disappeared over the past 10 years as a result of amateurs being very happy to supply photographs and photographic services for "flattery and experience".
I don't subscribe to the view that "professionals" have any God-given right to be able to earn a living from their trade - but I can see why they are unhappy with the current trend.
