Title: Aperture and FujiFilm RAW File Lens Correction?
Post by: Bob Rockefeller on October 07, 2014, 05:59:11 pm
Does Aperture recognize the built-in lens corrections in Fuji X-Trans RAW files?

That is, when Aperture imports a file from a FujiFilm X-T1, for example, does it automatically apply the lens corrections that are part of that format? Or would one have to correct for lens distortion another way?

Aperture doesn't have lens correction. That and camera profiles are two things Apple failed to keep up with.

Aperture takes into account the lens correction info included as metadata into the Fuji files, distortion correction is pretty evident.
