Is that banding or what?
Hate to get pixelpeepish here, but I also own a 5D. Canon quality is starting to worry me lately.

I kept scrolling down the image looking for the banding and then... there were STAIRS!!! I hope my 1Ds doesn't start putting stairs into my pictures!!
Anyway... thanks for the laugh.

It's a noise issue caused by the ISO expansion setting.
