Has anyone had experience with a sliplock attached acessory bag?
How much weight are you comfortable putting in one from the strength point of view?
How about a 1 to 1.5Kg lens?
Thanks

The system uses fairly large swatches of Velcro on the 'clip'. Even the water bottle holder has overkill in this regard. As long as you are buying an accessory bag that is appropriate for the item concerned (in this case a 1+ kg lens), there shouldn't be a problem. My experience with the Lowepro system has been extremely positive and that it would easily handle a lens of that weight. If you have any doubts, contact Lowepro directly. Their tech rep (Maury I believe) responds within 24 hours and knows their products inside and out.

I don't think that will be a problem Lester. As JK said, they are very strong. I use one strapped to the waistbelt of my backpack when hiking, and it can hold a 28-70 f/2.8 (900g) without any problem at all.

I bought a couple of the sliplock lense cases for my Minitrekker bag. Very satisfied with the attachment but the bag is quite heavy and somewhat awkward with a large lens attached. OK for taking to an event but I wouldn't want to carry a full bag plus attachments for long periods.
