Title: blurred photos
Post by: mario toni on October 06, 2005, 05:31:17 am
I shoot with Canon Eos 20d and the thing is this: when I convert my raw files to jpeg in DPP and resize them at 1000x667, after processing in CS2 they come out very crisp and sharp. BUT! When I do the same thing but leave the resolution as it is or resize them to a size larger than 1000x667, after CS2 processing they come out much more blurred than in the first case!! Why is that? Is this because of my monitor (Laptop), which is 1024x768 so it can`t handle resolution that big, or is it because something else... What am I doin wrong? Please help!  ???

You're going to have to post a sample if you want any meaningful analysis of your problem.

Why not try the CS2 RAW conversion, rather than DPP? All digital camera images also need a little sharpening applied because of the anti-alias filter used in the camera itself which will soften the image a little (but stops nasty aliassing artifacts). CS2 can certainly handle such a size of image (and bigger). Are you viewing the image at 100% in DPP for comparison?
