Hi there,
I'm trying to find a suitable motion control device for timelapse that
1) pans and tilts
2) can take the weight of a canon 5d
3) isn't crazy expensive
A couple of years ago people were recommending various telescope trackers that did the job on a reasonable budget. They gave the option of various speeds which is basically what I'm after. Unfortunately when I search for celestron or milapse heads now they seem to be discontinued and no longer available so I'm wondering if people have been buying any particular models lately and what are they reasonably happy with the results. I can't afford Kessler type gear. I shoot mostly timelapse at night and I'm interested in slow, smooth movements.
One that I've come across is this http://www.telescope.com/Mounts-Tripods/Altazimuth-Mounts-Tripods/Orion-StarBlast-AutoTracker-Altazimuth-Mount/pc/-1/c/2/sc/35/p/102781.uts
Anyone have any experience with this one?
I'm sorry if this has been discussed already, I could only find outdated discussions and I'm hoping to get recommendations of products currently on the market.
Thanks

This will get you there and though expensive probably is the professional solution.
You can rent instead of buy.

It was used by Colin Rich on this amazing 3 year project he shot in LA.
