Title: Polarizer
Post by: maggieddd on September 21, 2005, 11:08:16 am
Sorry that I am asking such a basic question, but I've never used a Polarizer.
On a digital camera does a polarizer give you any benefit?  Can I just get away without it in RAW?
What situations do I want to use it in? What weather?

Thanks for any tips

Read this (http://www.luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/polarizers.shtml) article. Digital or film camera makes no difference.

The article is very good for landscapers.  Other photogrpahers might be interested in polarizing the light source(s) and/or the camera.  You can get some useful and interesting effects.
