I just turned on my Epson 7600 printer for the first time in a few days and whilst I was setting up the page size in Qimage to print 10 4.7"x7" prints, the printer started printing of its own accord the Luminous Landscape forum page of topic titles on 2 pages, 24"x14.5" each, essentially wasting a 24"x30" piece of premium lustre paper.
At no time have I sent the computer a command to print out the LL Forum page. I sure hope it doesn't happen again.

Wow, that's really weird.
I've never had anything similar happen to me, but just in case, I think I'll set my default printer to be the DJ 990 instead of the photo printer.

Ray,
This must have been caused by a bit of spurious code generated when I sent a worm to all computers connected to the Forum, instructing them to transfer funds to my bank account.
Weird.

If you spool a print job when the printer is offline or off, the jobs can stay in the print queue even if the machine is rebooted, resulting in an unpleasant surprise when you turn on the printer days later. I had a similar experience with my R2400 a few weeks ago, but it was a Word document that printed on some letter-sized Premium Luster.

One of my customer had the kind same surprise... His kids tried to print an A4 sized photo. His printer was OFF and his kids tried, tried and tried. When my customer came back he turned everything ON again and went out. The printer had 30+ pages and ink cartriges were new.

I wondered what that was. Thanks for clarifying.
Reminds me of one of my first days working at a prepress shop when I accidentally sent 40 pages of 4-color separations to a Lino, and shot an entire roll of film. Er, whoops?

Well, if your printer decided to do that all on its own, I would have to say it shows good taste in which website to choose to print.
