Title: can a Canon 5D CF card upload to 5D3 DDP software in windows 7 computer
Post by: Herb Fabry on May 16, 2014, 03:18:48 pm
I still use a Canon 5D mark 1. My old XP computer died and I now have a two year old windows 7 computer. The 5D software was designed up to XP and no further. If I download DPP, canons digital photo professional for the 5Dmark3 from official Canon site, can I take a (RAW+Jpeg) shot, full CF card out of my 5D and upload it's content to the newer DPP used for the mark3 on the windows 7 computer?

It's free to try it so why don't you do that and tell us? I see know reason why it wouldn't.

IMO you shouldn't "upload" anyway. Copy the images to a folder on the hard drive and just open them from there.
That way if you do something wrong you still have them on the card.
