Although this kind of picture could disturb or very upset,my attempt was to say that I am here at Strasbourg, Alsace, France( 3 Michelin stars) like at my home, Bucharest, Romania(2 Michelin stars).
-
The gravity force of 3 stars seems to be great.
-
Sometimes, the 3 stars of Strasbourg lure people from other world.
-
At other times, a 3 stars displeasure?
-
Or, maybe, a 3 stars pleasure...
-
Strolling ,the tourist could find that the narrow streets ,like this from Wissembourg,a 2 stars town from 45 miles north of Strasbourg, have an uncommon perfume.
-
Or this street from Eguisheim,a small town or maybe a village with one star but with a high quality wine.It is at around 50 miles south of Strasbourg.

Initially I thought that nuns were visiting this little town but upon closer inspection it's a group of people dressed in traditional Alsatian costumes.
-
An answer to Francois means a little digression. The travel at Eguisheim began,in the morning, with one at Wissembourg where we experienced a more than 2 stars sadness.
-
In the afternoon of the same day we arrived, one hour later, from sadness to happiness because here at Eguisheim was a wine festivity with..." girls" and..."boys" dancing in the middle of the road.
-
Of course, the boy was proud remembering what he did.......but the girls?.............A little tired........one at least!
-
...............the connoisseurs know who is the boss...............
-
And a beautiful peacock with his peahen
-
Looking at this family-mother, son and daughter- I admired the pride to wear their beautiful national costumes and for a moment I thought to be Alsatian.
-
Under a not too friendly sky,the dance went on.
-
Dance without music?
-
Music?....A true assault,
-
Music?....A true assault.
Big Bertha style!
-
Big Bertha style!
Die Dicke Bertha jawohl!
-
of Valkyries
-
and Thor's hammers....although there was Sunday not Thursday.
-
So,they conquered entire space.
-
The recipe of such kind of feasts asks after the stars. So, here are two of them.
-
Now, other two stars who confirm that single Michelin star.
-
Despite of what such kind of recipe asks, the children are, always, a great happiness.
-
Of course ,you must be sure that the children are neither for eating nor for drinking! ....... Here in Alsace at least!
-
The tiredness of this old music teacher told us that the festivity was near the end.
-
Tiredly?Maybe...
Talkatively?Be sure.
-
And the children? They added love to the tiredness.
-
Please stop! Thank you. :)

Don't stop! I understand that OnlyNorth travelogues are unusual, off the beaten path and not the kind of photography I'm doing. But I like diversity and it's always interesting, in my opinion, to see what other photographers are doing.
If OnlyNorth's posts are boring or uninteresting for some then those affected can choose to ignore him or simply refrain to visit those threads…
Peace!
:)

It is Quality that is abysmal & Quantity that is mind-numbing. IMHO
-
Well, I live and work there (as a photographer) and had a hard time recognizing some places.
Seems to me it's quite easy to crop tightly around your usual urban eyesore, and then blame Michelin for looking at the rest ;)
-
Wow!I missed for a while.
1.Wow,thank You.
2.Wow,thank You.
3.Wow,thank You.
4.Wow,thank You.
PS: Too Much Passion!

In the 3 stars Strasbourg another kind of show,of course
-
with an other kind of opening...
-
even when it tells about traditional foods.
-
To pay homage to Bartholdi ,the author of The Liberty Statue, and to the link between Alsace and U.S is almost a duty.
-
At such kind of shows participate large groups of people with different customs. Here,it says "every wood has its dry- wood".
-
Unconsciously or not the builders,of this type of cathedrals, reached the need of the people to raise their souls to the Heaven.
-
Only a little organ music at the Strasbourg "Notre Dame" cathedral .
-
Although the sadness of Wissembourg disappointed me,this town has any interesting places so it deserved to return
-
Appearing to be abandoned by tourists and authorities, these buildings, which ,in their existence, were highschool and then hospital and which has a palace look, were the place where ''Roi'' (King) Stanislas Leszczynski ,King of Poland and father-in-law of Louis XV-King of France, lived some years. In a few words,a plaque remembers that.
-
As onlooker I always admired the mansard roofs.
-
I do not know what one feels living long time in a mansard.I experienced only one night in a mansard at Gojdu apartments(a kind of hotel in Budapest( 3 Michelin stars)-Hungary.I confess I felt nothing uncommonly.
-
If one asks me where I should wish to live ,my answer could be neither in a mansard nor in a basement.
