Title: Graduated filter - Where are you?

All of a sudden the graduated filter has decided not to show me the area that has been defined to adjust.  The are can be adjusted using exposure mode, clarity, etc., etc., but it doesn't graphically show where it will apply the adjustments.

How do I reclaim this tool to a fully workable condition?

Running OS 10.9.2 with the most recent LR 5 version.

Activate the grad filter and from the toolbar (shortcut T) choose Auto from the Show Edit Pins list. You must have switched this to Never.

I recommend setting the tool to Auto (Slobodan's screenshot) in the grad filter, radial filter, local adjustment brush, and in the dust spotting tool.

Its beauty is that the "pins" remain visible while the cursor is over the picture, but hide as soon as the cursor is moved outside. So it gives you a very quick way to see the picture without them distracting you - flick the cursor outside the frame and they're hidden.

I find the "H" key a quick way to toggle the pins off or on.

Maybe it's my imagination or maybe I've been doing a lot of high-key images lately, but it seems to me that in 5.4 I have to put my nose to the screen in order to see the three lines of the grad filter overlay.
