Title: Where is my Cropping Grid?
Post by: brianrybolt on February 21, 2014, 07:20:55 am
LR 5.3   OS 10.9.1

All of a sudden the grid disappeared in the Cropping tool in the Develop Module and also in the Lens Correction > Transform  -  Manual

Any suggestion(s) as to how to bring it back.  Must I reinstall the application?

Thanks in advance.

Develop module > Tools > Crop Guide Overlay; also Develop module > Tools > Tool Overlay > Auto Show.
When you enter Lens Correction, the grid will appear as soon as you 'touch' one of the sliders.

Thanks Manoll but after I followed your suggestion, the Grid is now showing only in 'lens correction > transform > manual & not in the 'cropping tool'.

Brian,
Click on the cropping tool and then go
Tools > Tools Overlay > Always Show
Tools > Crop Guide Overlay allows you to choose style and aspect ratio
Should work ..

Try keyboard shortcut O.

Does this cycle through other crop overlay options? (e.g. Fibonacci, etc.)

And Shift-O will rotate some of the options (golden spiral for example).  You can also use the View Menu to choose which of the overlay options will be displayed when cycling through.
