Not sure where to post but this guy does cool and vast scale art using a beach as his canvas.
Because of the transient nature of the works, a camera is required to save the efforts.

Interesting.
But I prefer the patterns that Nature makes on beaches shortly before low tide. Here's one from a few days ago.

That's cheating - you let the gods do all the work for you ... ;)

Is mankind not part of nature?

Is mankind not part of nature?
Only as in its greatest threat!

You know this story of two planets meeting in space ....
Planet A: Holy crap - you look bad ... whats up with you?
Planet B: The doctor said I have homo sapiens.
Planet A: Ah good! That's just transient.
:P

I agree, Eric, especially if the patterns Nature is making are girls in bikinis. Doesn't really matter whether it's low tide or high tide, or any tide in between.

Thank you, Rob.
Oops! That was Russ, not Rob speaking! ;)
There aren't many bikinis in mid-winter when I do most of my beach photographing. And in the summer, around here at least, most of the bikinis (but certainly not all) are on people that shouldn't be wearing them.

Yeah, I spend winters in a Florida retirement community. I know about that.

^Heh, another kind of over-exposed patterns on the beach…

I was going to comment on an artist that creates a work knowing it will be, very shortly, gone forever, until...
I considered all that is contained on my hard drive that will suffer the same fate. ;)

If you really want to emulate his schedule, you should wipe your hard drive clean twice a day. ;)

^Perhaps one or 2 works rather than the content of a hard drive would be closer to the same kind of results he gets, but I predict he or friends take several fotos of most works that do not get destroyed as quickly.

Thank goodness there is hope for poor old planet Eart.
