Title: Induro Carbon Tripod - Smells
Post by: ReflectedLight on November 30, 2013, 05:54:58 pm
To anyone with experience with Induro tripods,

I just purchased and received a CT114. Decent tripod. Think it could be a bit sturdier, but my chief complaint is that the hand grips on the legs STINK. The outgasing smell/odor is pretty bad. Reminds me of the Photoflex rubber grips on their reflector stand/support arm that I returned for this reason.

Did anyone else notice this and did it ever fade? If so, how soon?

Thanks,

Darius

I don't have any specific knowledge of that tripod, but I do have a toolbox full of Xcelite hand tools.  I've had them for 35 years and the handles smell like pigeon poop.  In 35 years it hasn't gotten any better.  They are really good tools if you can stand the smell.
