it seems they have fixed the one gripe I have with the x100s: exposure preview can now be switched off, which means greater usability with flash!

I wish other manufacturers would be so diligent, even if it might prevent customers from buying the latest camera.
I only now of Ricoh of doing this to such an extent.
Canon, Nikon, Sony? are you listening?
