Hello,
I am skipping around a bit with this tutorial and understand there is are some custom workspaces that can be downloaded. Where are they located? I am on Mac.
I am enjoying this series immensely. As a very proficient user of Lightroom this is most helpful in getting to know Capture One 7.
Thanks,
J. Paul

They are in the final file: '...Extras'

Chris,
Thanks for your quick reply! Sorry to be slow but what final file? The only file that I am aware of is the player file I downloaded.
Thanks,
Paul

Ah, my error I am still thinking in terms of the old store.

Hello Chris,
I am trying to follow the path to add the Custom Capture One Workspaces on a mac and all I see in the path is Capture One>Plug-in's. Is there supposed to be a Workspace Folder?
Thanks,
J. Paul

The instructions for a Mac are included with the workspaces...
MAC Instructions:
Quit Capture One if running and place the two .plist files into the Workspaces folder found on the following path . .
Library> Application Support> Capture One> Workspaces
If there is not already a Workspaces folder there - just create one.
-
Thanks Chris! I appreciate that clarification.

Searched in my SSD (applications location) and HDD (Data location) for:
"Library> Application Support> Capture One>"
This directory does not exist..?
Please assist.
-
Thank you Kevin for such a quick response.
Can tell me if the following sounds familiar to what you had to do:
Have Apple OSX Mavericks
Searched in my SSD (applications location) and HDD (Data location) for:
"Library> Application Support> Capture One>"
1. In System Preferences> Login Options>Unlocked
2. Join>Select Server>Unlocked
3. Edit>Enable Root User
I still do not see:
"Library> Application Support> Capture One>"
BTW dja@phaseone.com is out of town...

FWIW
In the Finder's 'View' Menu, select 'Show System Files'
-
CO7 sent me this:
http://www.phaseone.com/Search/Article.aspx?articleid=1167&languageid=1
Step 5 provides me with direct access to this root directory.
Thank you Drew! [http://www.phaseone.com/en/SupportMain/ContactSupport.aspx]

On Windows machines here is the file path to the Workspaces directory
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\CaptureOne
-
For Mac users, to access the Library folder (which is hidden by default), hold down the Option key, and browse to the 'Go' menu in the Finder.
Library will be revealed there.

Hi! I have begun viewing the Capture One training movies starting from this set and would also very much like to obtain the custom workspaces file. Is it still available somewhere?

The downloadable C1 9 workspaces are in a .zip file found on the right hand side of both the C1 9 Update main page (https://luminous-landscape.com/videos/guide-to-capture-one-pro-9-update/) and the main Capture One Tutorial page (https://luminous-landscape.com/videos/guide-capture-one-pro-7/) under Course Documents

Thank you!

Will workspace download found in C1-7 tutorial work in C1-9 for Windows 10? I downloaded and extracted the plist files into c:\users\user\appdata\local\captureone\workspace and they don't appear in user workspace under the Windows menu. I noticed while in the c:\users\user\appdata\local\captureone\workspace that a workspace I created in C1-9 has a xml extension. So I changed the extensions to xml but they still don't show up. What is wrong? Can someone help, please?

Are they available for Windows? Windows uses xml not plist.
-
Apologies but nether Kevin nor I use Windows and have no way of generating that .xml
I will try dropping a note to David Grover at Phase to see if they can be translated...
-
According to David Grover, "There is no way to convert a mac to windows workspace. Only way is to make it on a windows machine and save out!"
My only suggestion then (weak at best - sorry!) is that you try and set up the workspace based on the video and then save it out. BTW if you do succeed in doing this and would like to share it, please send the XML to me and I will add it to the course files.
