The wife and I are going to Oahu next week. I have always been fascinated with photos of the Milky Way with a foreground subject and want to do this on the trip. I need your suggestions for areas on Oahu that are far from the lights of the city. If you have photographed the Milky Way or other celestial objects on Oahu please send a sample if you like.
Thanks!

I've lived here (Oahu) for many years and while there may be places where you can find what you are looking for on this island, and others may chime in, I'd suggest that if you're serious and can possibly afford to schedule a trip to the Big Island of Hawaii, that you visit at least the Volcano area at night. Also, though it would involve more planning and logistics, the summit of Mauna Kea, where the telescopes are located, would give you images that are unparalleled.
