Very nice mountain image... It seems to be very calm but those clouds will probably be on the photographer in a matter of minutes.

I like the crop and the image...not a fan of crispy clouds though. ;)

This shot certainly gets your attention. Very good composition and personally I like the clouds as they are. Just wondering if a little more saturation or vibrance at the bottom to counter the greyness at the top would better balance the image? As it is however, it is a winner.

Hmmm.... Thanks! I've thought about that, but unfortunately do not have a color calibrated monitor, and often times when I play with color or color effects, it ends up looking wildly overdone when I finally post it on the web.
It's odd, and l'm not sure what it's due to, but something will look fantastic in, say, Lightroom, then when I'm done with it and go to view it outside of LR, it will look utterly different.
I'll play around with it.
I didn't touch the clouds, though ;-)

Same for me with LR then viewing in IE10. Looks OK with Chrome though. My monitor is calibrated, too, however. PS Terrific shot.

It might be related to the color management of the browser, particularly if you use a wide-gamut monitor. I only use Firefox for this site, I think it was the only one which did things right last year.

Perhaps a mono conversion would work better, just an idea, but I do think mono works quite well for this shot and seems to add to the over all moodiness of the scene.

I agree with Dave. The grayscale version is a much more serious storm.

Quite ominous and foreboding with that darkened foreground.
I have a much more zoomed in shot of the same storm that I'll reprocess tonight and post in mono.
