I'm new to M4/3 and I'm considering buying a GX7.
Can anyone explain why there is a maximum of 2 minutes on the shutter speed in BULB mode?
Thanks,
Roy

Noise issues most likely. But you can take a series of 2-minute (or less) exposures and stack 'em later on.

Dave,
Many thanks for your response.
I suppose you are right. Perhaps long exposure noise is just not acceptable above two minutes with a sensor this size. I want to do more night time and big stopper work - and there are instances where I think this limitation will get in the way. I can't see how stacking will help.
Not a show stopper for me as I think the camera has so many other plus points.
