Title: Croatia

I am going to Dubrovnik for one week tomorrow.  Are there any sites nearby that have to be photographed?

I assume you are after landscapes? You can spend the whole week shooting inside Dubrovnik itself (or from the hills just outside of it) if you are after street and architecture photography. I do not remember anything landscape-worthy in the immediate vicinity though. If you are willing to travel a bit (say 100 km or 65 miles one way by car) there is a beautiful National Park Mljet on the island of Mljet. I believe there should be a boat line from Dubrovnik. Many years ago, when I was visiting, they did not allow cars inside the park and I hope that has not changed.

Slobodon is the expert here.

Near Dubrovnik and just a few Km inland is Trebinje, BIH, and a little south is Kotorska. Both are worth a trip and are spectacular.  Try some of the undiscovered areas just in from the coast anywhere nearby.

There's so much to see there, so take your time and enjoy, leaving something for your next trip.

Happy trails,
