Returning from Strasbourg,France to Bucharest,Romania,we took a break, for a night,at Cluj-Napoca a city in  the middle of Transylvania,at the half-way between Budapest and Bucharest. Here I discovered the hotel(45E/night and room w.breakfast included) with the help of taxi-driver because our updated GPS  did a not too far but...wrong location.

One year before we were here and I tried to test my opinion that, nowadays, every town aspires to get grey.I looked for those aspects which were in the opposition to me.Below You could see my first impression. As you see easily, there is the name of the hotel and the name  of the street "Black"

It seemed that beauty, which was hidden behind the blocks, brought the spring by ... satellite.

Almost in the time when Bulgaria felt under Bulgarians,Transylvania felt under the Hungarians(9th c.)A real tragedy was in Europe,in those days, for the Europeans inhabitants. Then in 17th c.Transylvania felt under Austrians(Balkanic region was under Ottomans from 15th c.)
This is the Orthodox Cathedral from 1921.

There are, here, some monuments which remember of recent or older events. One of them are these Shot Pilars which try to remember about the dead from December 1989 when Communism was broken down.

The Church of St.Michael was first catholic one then of the protestants and then of the catholics again. Its construction begun in 14th c.being finished in 15th c.The tower which was built at the beginning of 16th,destroyed by an earthquake in 18th c.and erected again in the second part of 19th.Only in 1902  the Austrian-Hungarian administration hoping, probably,to sleep the conscience of the  Romanians constructed,on the South side of the church, the monument of Mathew Corvinus Rex(one of the kings of the Hungary) whose Romanian origin was known.

Two members of the Hunyadi family ruled Hungary Kingdom in 15th c.-John and his son Mathew Corvinus.Today nothing reminds about them in the native place of this family in Corbi Village,Arges County.("corvus,i"-in Latin means "raven" and "corvi",at plural, means "ravens" .The similitude with Romanian "Corbi" is easily observable.) This cross which is on the Stone Ravens Hill is linked by a monastery which is here,in a cave.

This complex monument presented only warrior side of the Mathew.A warrior with his sword in a horizontal position waiting to defense or to attack. He,the artist, ignored the cultural side of this, probably, the most important man whose birth place was in this town-the spread of Renaissance movement directly from Italy to entire Central Europe.

UNIO TRIUM NATIONUM-The Union Of The Three Nations-appeard in 1438 and was a pact between Hungarians,Germans and Szeklers against peasents' revolts.Romanians, who formed the majority, were excluded. This was the background of the ethnic confrontings which didn't yet finish.

I like this one.
Especially together with your comment.
It has a funny and deep note in the same moment,
since the guy and the puppet do not talk to each other -
they have their own problems as you said.
So the guy is a dead puppet?
Is the puppet alive?
Very nice!

Small domestic conflicts....These are two political parties.A wing from socialists formed, with a big noise,PD(Democratic Party). Then, getting on the bed with PNL(National Liberal Party) formed the govern. Then, a wing from PNL went to PD and formed together PD-L.Then,PD-L with socialists get on the Govern  bed.Now socialists are in the same bed with PNL and PD-L took the place under the bed,in opposition. But first lover is never forgot so,here,we see PD-L and PNL under the same roof

I increasingly like this thread.
A follow up story with some interesting mix between subjective view and objective information.
Really like it and I wished we had more of this kind of story telling format here on LuLa.
The technical nits (sometimes weird color, sometimes oversharpening) I had here and there really don't bother me much seeing this whole series.
And there is some really nice street photography in between.
I also think the sometimes extreme perspectives and distortion actually add to the series.
Thanks for continuing this.

Cheers
~Chris

Never thought what works well with birds (as seen on LuLa forums) would work that well with humans as well.
Very cool idea and realization !

So,reflecting about another kind of monument,I was astonished finding a local variant, of the Wailing Wall-much more trivial of course-with its sheets of paper where the onlookers could recognize their hidden thoughts, from wages, beer,USA visa, happiness to free sex and marijuana.
