OK, looking up, no slanted perspective. PC lens? PS adjustment? Nice touch on the color.

LR4 perspective adjustment. I think that a slanted perspective distracts, unless it is the primary focus in an image.

EDIT: Like in this case:

Yup. I get it. The OP gives you that glimpse through the canyon effect. Like the way the reflections pick up the color in the sky.

Slobodan, a very interesting perspective (#1) and (of course) well mastered. I wonder how the original picture looks like.

My favorite parts of this image are the repeating circles: The globe head of the ad figure, the un-lighted globe on the street light pole, and the lighted globe on the pole above the W. The nicely balanced repeat patterns of the crane across from the windows are added interest. I even enjoy the way both the globe-head figure and the bottom stair-step top of a distant building point at the W. The sunset is the whipped cream on top, finishing off a delicious image.

Thanks. Another good example that it pays off to revise your shots carefully. Some are like rough diamonds.

Good catch, Lou!

Speaking of echoing, I like how the man-made colors, red and blue, are repeated in the sky (or vice versa).

I did see the color similarity there also, but if they were too close in color value it would lesson the contrast between the natural sunset and the man-made colors -- the natural soothing values of the sunset vs. the more jarring, contrived colors of the signage.

This image points out that vision trumps outmoded views on what is "natural" or "real" photography. Much like the painter who adds elements from his mind, a good photographer should never be limited to the inherent limits of camera capture. Revisiting old images can yield great discoveries.

Very well done, Slobodan. Makes it almost worth a trip to NY, eh?  ;)

It's good work, Slobodan, but I have a question. It's not a criticism. Did you push the saturation or is that the way it came out of the camera?

That's why I posted an OOC version (post #6) ;)

Sometimes it's hard to tell. I'm assuming you were shooting raw. In any case it's very nicely done.

Another one in the series.

Nothing spectacular, just a nice collection of colors against the backdrop of a sunset sky in the distance.
