Title: A few from Swedish Lapland
Post by: mjrichardson on August 15, 2013, 03:52:16 pm
Evening all

I bought a nice little place up in the North of Sweden a year ago, I've visited a few times now, working on rebuilding the house and planning a move permanently soon, it's a stunning part of the world so I thought I'd share a couple from within a few km's of my house!

If anyone gets the opportunity to visit, I'd highly recommend!

Thanks for looking

Looks a nice spot. If we all turn up mob-handed, are you offering B&B?

If by B&B you mean somewhere to put a tent and a bacon sarnie for breakfast then sure, why not!

You certainly wouldn't want the Chairman turning up? He would be looking for revenge for the Vikings looting and pillaging England in bygone days, and his use of a camera is a little lacking. ;)

I remember a 3 Commando Brigade exercise in Denmark. When we landed on the beach, the SBS had helpfully provided way-markers so we knew which way to go. One sign pointed to 'Rape', the other pointed us to 'Pillage'.

Good work, Mat. It hasn't ever occurred to me to try hard in logged forests, but you show it can be done.

My take on this region is here (http://www.flickr.com/photos/59795859@N00/sets/72157630690922022/).

Love them all but the first two are my favorites!

For me, the b&w (#4) stands out; but it would have been nice if you'd taken a step to the left, so the lower branches of the two trees didn't interfere with each other.

Thanks for the comments all!

We're starting to get dark at nights again and leaves are beginning to drop so winter isn't too far away, winter is excellent here!

Scott, great shots there, I have a few from last winter but really looking forward to having more time this year and getting some more.
