Title: Exporting B&W images from Lightroom 4 and printing with QTR
Post by: Bill Koenig on August 14, 2013, 09:36:25 am
Anyone out there editing B&W in Lightroom, then printing using the Quad Tone Rip? If so, how did you get around the problem of gamma as Lr output a gamma of 1.8 and the QTR wants a gamma of 2.2
The easy way out of this would be to just edit in PS, but then I lose Lr's output sharpening.
My guess, there's not a way to export a 2.2 gamma from Lr.

Look at this blog post by Jon Cone:

I normally take the files through photoshop first, and make sure I export in Adobe RGB, which is a gamma 2.2 colour space.
