I see there are no comments on this evocative shot. is it too much of a cliche perhaps?
My own impression is that the surrounding environment is perhaps not as captivating as it could be. I'd prefer to see more of a blaze of color in the foreground; some bright yellow daisies or pink tulips for example, and/or the entire foreground pasted onto the dramatic sky of the previous image, 'Death Valley Sunset'.
We would then have a more interesting contrast between the dilapidated car and its surroundings. ;)

in Germany, a common saying is 'Er fuhr fort und kam als Fussgänger zurück ' which means he drove away and came back as a pedestrian. The wordplay is that fort (-> away ) is pronounced exactly the same way as Ford.
The car in the image looks as if the same has happened to it's driver. But a great shot - I like it !

Contrast?
Blacks & grays against yellows & greens. Darks against brights. Desaturated against saturated. Horizontals against verticals. Manufactured against organic. Smooth against textured. Geometric against natural. Old against young. Death against life. (Allegory of the dark, cold dead being embraced by the warm, young living and lifted to the bright heavens, if you like.)
Oh, and a strong composition.
Yup -- a keeper.
