The endangered Indian bison, taken yesterday in northwest Goa.  The Gaur is the largest bovine on the planet, larger than the African Cape Buffalo.

Even without a way to judge its size, it looks massive! Are they living in a protected area or just in the wild?

This is a wilderness area, part of the Western Sahyadri range which is one of the world's great biodiversity hotspots.
