Title: Sad Day - The Passing Of A Good Friend and Amazing Photographer Steve Grubman
Post by: Kevin Raber on July 27, 2013, 04:15:28 pm
It’s with great sadness that I share the news of the passing of longtime friend Steve Grubman. Located in Chicago Steve was one of the nicest people I have known in my photographic career. Steve’s fame is photographing animals and there was no one that was better at it then him. His work is amazing and his stories and adventures unforgettable. Below is a link to Steve’s website. Be sure to visit and click through to the STUDIO selection and view the marvelous video there. The video says it all.

I was with Steve at the beginning of May when Phase One hosted an event a Steve’s studio. Steve and I sat down prior to the event in private and had a great chat. That conversation I’ll always remember and I am so happy to have had it. Steve passed away on Friday afternoon peacefully and in the company of his family. In lieu of flowers, donations will be graciously accepted at www.caninetherapycorps.org (http://www.caninetherapycorps.org) where Steve and his beloved Labrador Polly volunteered.

We’ll miss you Steve but never forget you. Your images will always make us smile.

Visit Steve’s Website and enjoy his photos and don’t forget to click on the studio link Click Here (http://www.grubman.com)

Last year I had the chance to assist Steve on a job while he was here in LA shooting for Purina. Fun job, 5 days of shooting cats!

VERY nice guy, very professional.

Very sad to hear about his passing?!
All the best to his family, and his 1st assistant(Andrew IIRC).
