Title: Sample raw images from Phase One P45+

Hi,

I posted a few samples from my newly acquired Phase One P45+ on a Hasselblad 555ELD (V-series) here:

There are also a couple of raw images from my Sony Alpha 99, for comparison.

The Hasselblad 555 ELD is a V-series camera using the Zeiss lens line, both camera and lenses are bargains in the used market.

Thanks for showing this. For a guy who perhaps wanted to upgrade this could be very intersting.

But one question from me:

Which lens had you used for this picture: 20130626-CF043214.iiq ?

It seems to be very sharp.

Hi,

Distagon 50/4 stopped down to f/11 or f/16. Keep in mind that the JPEG images are sharpened. Best to download raw image and check yourself.

My impression is that the lenses I have are decently sharp, with reservations about the 120/4 Macro Planar when used at infinity.

I have also bought a 40/4 FLE (still waiting for it). A very good friend of mine has a 250/5.6 Sonnar I can test in a couple of weeks.

You made the right choise!!, if i would do one thing again, i wouldnt buy the Mamiya/phase body & Lenses but keep shooting on Hassy, actually the Mamiya/Phase body is the main reason why i bought a Arca swiss, as the M/P1 body is shit!! I love the DB by phase and the sneiders, but god their bodies are just horrible.. Now after software updatr they dont want to shoot bellow 1/4the back battery, !!

Actually, i am thinking of buying a 2nd P45+, as i prefere this back to the IS280, less batteries, robuste etc etc, but this time buy it with hassy V mount !!
Back to the old times !!!

I am still looking for a good priced P45+ for myself, but I can wait.
I stay with my statement: The best back Phase ever built.

Yes, I like the P45+/555 ELD combo. The camera is from 2001, but it seems that it is still properly adjusted.

Only 1 thing i miss on the P45+ is some options the P40 has like: leveling tool, or zero latency, i dont understand why they dont just put te zero latency option in the firmware update. Cant be that difficult top copy past it into the firmware:p
