Please be gentle kind folks, my first photo thread on here. I understand I'm in grand company.
Very little tweaking on both these images.
Taken last fall (2012) with my 5D mark II and 24-105L.

(I assume linking to flickr is okay. I ask because I see most people here attaching their photos instead of linking them.)
Personally, I would have liked to stand more to the left for the first shot, but I was on the edge of the water and I would love more colorful leaves in the bottom left of the second image but you take what you can get. :)

Very nice!
Wonderful colours.
I do wonder if a little beat of tweaking like increasing contrast just a shade might help.
All in all - excellent compositions and a good result.
BTW welcome to LuLa you should enjoy yourself here.

Thank you Tony :) I need to explore tweaking the sharpness/contrast more.

I like them both, and echo Tony's suggestion. Have at the sliders, gently. Curves for #2? Welcome!

Thank you Scott, I will try that out!
